Senior Director Marketing, AMERICAS

Based in:             TBC  

Reporting to:     VP Global Field Marketing  

Your role in our Future

The Senior Director of Marketing will report into the Global VP Field Marketing and will be responsible for managing Directors and Managers across Canada, USA and LatAm for our Digital and MRS businesses. The total organization responsibility will be 16 people with an annual marketing generated bookings target of over 78m and comprises of ABM, Partner Marketing, Event Marketing, Digital Marketing and Strategically focused marketers to service Enterprise and SMB and the main verticals within.

This senior Director is a critical leader within the demand generation department, serving as a strategic advisor responsible for shaping the region’s marketing strategy, vision, and operational execution and acts as a strategic partner to central marketing teams and regional stakeholders to drive growth. The Senior Director must leverage data-driven insights to transform field marketing in into a scalable, insight-led function, focusing on optimizing operations to reduce costs associated with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) to drive a 3x marketing spend to bookings ratio. This position is responsible for developing growth strategies that drive sales pipeline, enhance brand recognition, and engage customers through impactful, regionally tailored marketing programs. Additionally, the Senior Director will be expected to work with the Global VP of Field Marketing on global projects aimed at advancing the broader marketing function.

What you will do

Strategic Development:

  • Lead the creation and execution of a tailored field marketing strategy, that is tightly aligned with the sales leadership strategy and leverages insights to drive effective campaign roadmaps and optimizing resource allocation and budget management.
  • Develop comprehensive frameworks and operating models that align with global strategies, facilitating streamlined processes and measurable success in regional marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics to inform marketing decisions, identify target markets, craft tailored campaigns, and define key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with regional business objectives.
  • Build intelligence relating to the geographies in the Americas  go-to-market (GTM) strategies and campaigns that feed back into central marketing teams and drive innovation within the regional field marketing function.

Operational Leadership:

  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing regional marketing team across two business areas, setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning and execution of regional marketing campaigns, ensuring initiatives are timely, within budget, and optimized for performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs to evaluate marketing success, reporting regularly on campaign performance and brand recognition metrics to both regional and central leadership.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Develop targeted ABM strategies to engage key accounts, collaborating with sales teams to create personalized campaigns.
  • Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and field events, managing vendor relationships, logistics, and budgets.
  • Partner Marketing: Align with the global partner framework to ensure the rgion has an executable strategy to attract new partners and expand and retain engagement from existing partners to meet indirect pipeline and bookings targets.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with various marketing functions—such as Customer Marketing, Partner Marketing, Global Campaigns, and Corporate Marketing—to ensure field marketing strategies align with global initiatives while maintaining regional relevance.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly within sales and product marketing, to ensure alignment between product offerings, sales strategies, and messaging.

Customer Engagement:

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns that resonate with local audiences, driving customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Utilize regional customer insights to tailor marketing messages and enhance the overall customer experience.

Your profile

  • A minimum of 10 years in B2B marketing, with a strong emphasis on demand generation, partner marketing, account-based marketing and field marketing in a regional context.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing marketing teams and driving successful initiatives.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with key stakeholders to drive aligned campaign plans with sales and other marketing departments.
  • Experience in budget management and project execution that enhances efficiency or launches new growth initiatives.
  • Experience in driving 3x – 5x bookings to marketing spend through rolling out SOPs, team training and latest marketing techniques to continually optimize the organization.
  • Experience of managing a complex organization over a diverse geography throughout the Americas.
  • Experience of utilizing insights from data, customer feedback and sales feedback to evolve campaigns to continually optimize performance.
  • Experience in data segmentation and customizable messaging to particular segments to ensure field marketing is delivering a personalized experience to both customers, prospects and partners.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to leverage data for strategic decision-making focused on the USA, Canadian and LatAm market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of the B2B SaaS industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven capability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

This position has a salary range of:

$160,500.00 - $240,800.00
