What are some ways you feel Quadient creates an inclusive community?

In the UK, Quadient has always been a melting pot, diverse in terms of culture, race, where you’re from, and your background. Everyone is welcome here. As a person who has spent a lot of time making myself look a bit odd, I’ve never been asked to cover up my tattoos or take a piercing out. You’re allowed to be who you are!

How does diversity of thought and experience make your work more interesting and fulfilling?

I’ve worked on quite a few teams over my 17 years with Quadient, and it’s always been a diverse group of people who have been with the company for different lengths of time, who have come from different backgrounds, and who are of varying ages. And everyone’s opinion or idea is always valued. If you have a thought or idea, you feel comfortable to share it, and even if it’s not useful at the time, it gets people thinking in a different way.

How are you involved in Empowered Communities at Quadient?

We have four Empowered Communities at Quadient. The LGBT+ community, the people with disabilities community, the women’s community, and the ethnicities and origins community are where we not only support each other and make people feel welcome, but also put forward initiatives that make us heard on a global scale. It’s good to get together in our small groups and talk about our differences, but we’re putting out communications and hosting town hall meetings so that everyone can see what a glorious representation of humanity we are.

Why is it important for you to be involved in Quadient’s Empowered Communities?

I’m a part of the LGBT+ community in general, so I joined that Empowered Community because it’s important for me to have that representation and to offer support to others like me who may not be as comfortable, especially in the workplace. I’ve also joined the other communities as an ally. It’s important for me to hear their voices and to learn, so I can help others speak their truth.
