The Senior Accountant will be responsible for inventory accounting and play a key role in supporting month-end close, as well as monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and conducting financial analysis. This role also provides support for internal and external audits, handles ad hoc reporting and management requests, and contributes to special projects and departmental initiatives. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will help train and mentor other members of the accounting team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting for inventory, including:

    • Accurate reporting and valuation of inventory

    • Calculation of necessary reserves based on company policy

    • Conducting physical inventories

    • Assist Order Management and Field Staff with inventory requests

  • Manage assigned areas in the general ledger including journal entries, analyzes and reconciles interfaces with ledger accounts

  • Perform monthly P&L analysis and conduct detailed research to ensure accuracy  

  • Supports reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly results

  • Assists in reconciling accounts and evaluating the accuracy and effectiveness of the accounting system; identify and communicate any problems or discrepancies to the manager for guidance toward resolution

  • Prepares ad hoc reports for management - including various department requests

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, reporting, financial analysis, preferable with a large multinational corporation

  •  Ability to travel as required

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting  

  • Ability to work on special projects involving general ledger, taking the role of project lead when required

  • Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP

  • Experience with ERP Oracle, Blackline and HFM a plus

  •  Inventory processes

  • Proven ability to be a collaborative partner with business groups

  •  Must have the desire to thrive in a dynamic environment; able to move quickly with program implementation and maintain focus amid change

  • Excellent technical skills – Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically complex Excel functions

  • Must be able to work independently when needed

This position has a salary range of:

$81,400.00 - $122,100.00

Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, which may include (but are not limited to) geographic location and candidate experience and expertise. As such, they may vary from the ranges listed.
