Our success in delivering innovation and business growth is inspired by the connections our diverse teams create every day, with our clients and each other.

It’s these connections that make Quadient such an exceptional place to grow your career, develop your skills and make a real impact – help our future-focused business lead the way in powering secure and sustainable business connections through digital and physical channels.

Your role in our future

We’re seeking an accomplished sales leader to head up Quadient’s Public Sector Sales Team within our Mail Division — a national team responsible for developing and growing relationships across local government, central government, health and NHS, housing associations, education, and the UK’s top 500 charities.

This is a pivotal leadership role, reflecting Quadient’s expanded national remit and growing presence across central government. You’ll lead a team that blends broad public sector coverage with deep specialisation, including two Central Government Specialists responsible for driving strategic engagement across Whitehall departments and key government agencies.

Working in close partnership with the Public Sector Strategy Lead, you’ll shape and execute the national go-to-market plan in line with strategic imperatives — ensuring your team focuses its effort on the highest-value opportunities. You’ll bring structure, pace, and purpose to how we engage the market, helping Quadient strengthen its position in core mail services while expanding adoption of our digital, SaaS, CXM, and DCS solutions.

Your role in our future

  • Lead, coach, and develop a national Public Sector Sales Team, with accountability for growth, retention, and strategic customer engagement across all major public sector segments.
  • Provide direct leadership for our Central Government Specialists, ensuring a focused approach to relationship development, stakeholder mapping, and long-term growth within key Whitehall departments and agencies.
  • Partner with the Public Sector Strategy Lead to translate strategic imperatives into actionable go-to-market plans, driving execution at national scale.
  • Work closely with the Bid Management Team to pursue tender opportunities effectively, ensuring alignment with Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks and public procurement requirements.
  • Champion a culture of strategic account management, where every team member builds clear account plans, contact strategies, and growth pathways aligned to customer priorities.
  • Balance short-term sales delivery with long-term value creation by growing market share in the mail division’s core offerings while driving expansion into digital and automation solutions.
  • Build internal partnerships with Product, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Professional Services to deliver integrated, customer-centric solutions.
  • Foster collaboration with other Quadient sales divisions, leading through both influence and authority to create synergy across all solution lines.
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of account reviews, opportunity management, and forecast discipline to ensure predictability and performance.
  • Act as a visible ambassador for Quadient in the UK public sector, representing the organisation within key central and local government networks.

Your profile

You’re an experienced public sector sales leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence. You understand the complexity of public sector buying — particularly at central government level, where frameworks, governance, and stakeholder alignment demand exceptional credibility and coordination.

You’re confident engaging senior officials, leading national teams, and balancing immediate commercial delivery with longer-term strategic goals. You bring a leadership style that inspires clarity, collaboration, and consistent performance.

  • Proven success leading national or central government-focused sales teams within the public sector.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement processes, frameworks, and CCS compliance.
  • Experience influencing at senior levels across central government departments, agencies, and related bodies.
  • Strong track record in strategic account planning, multi-solution sales, and structured business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset, with the energy and resilience to drive meaningful, sustainable growth.
