We’re looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our team in Sweden. Read on for more information…

Your Role

You will be responsible for the financial management of all the subsidiaries within your scope. The subsidiaries in scope are the Mail solution entities in the Nordics region.

You’ll be Managing daily general ledger entries and you’ll be Responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable, performing daily bank account reconciliations, preparing and booking monthly accruals and provisions and conducting monthly and yearly balance sheet reconciliations, performing monthly intercompany reconciliations, and preparing salaries and expenses.

In addition, you will act as the main contact for authorities, managing tax accounts, VAT declarations, and annual tax returns, and reporting to authorities, as well as preparing monthly and annual financial reports in compliance with both local GAAP and IFRS standards. You will be coordinating and collaborating with external auditors during year-end closing and preparing annual reports.

You will be involved in Payroll Management: Overseeing and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with local tax laws and company policies, collaborating with external payroll providers to manage payroll inputs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper reporting and documentation.

Your profile

  • You hold a degree in economics or finance (accounting/controlling) and have several years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent.
  • You possess excellent analytical skills, combined with expertise in financial accounting; you are advanced in Microsoft Excel.
  • You are solution-oriented, meticulous, and have a structured approach to work; you are autonomous and proactive.
  • You can demonstrate your experience in auditing techniques, and you are able to deliver high quality results within strict deadlines.
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English.
